On January 28, Hagley’s Curator of Collections and Hagley Historian filmed five episodes of a new video series, Hagley Up Close. In this series, Hagley staff members will get up close and personal with their favorite objects, both large and small, from around the property.
The first videos take place at Hagley’s Eleutherian Mills Residence, where viewers might recognize iconic settings such as the Smoking Room and the staircase. While these may be familiar, we hope to excite visitors by sharing stories that are frequently untold.
Viewers will learn fun facts that go beyond a regular tour, while also getting a chance to hear from various members of Hagley’s staff! Some objects will be in plain sight, while others are hidden behind the scenes.
Our challenge to you: Can you identify some of the objects when you return to Hagley in the springtime?
New episodes of Hagley Up Close will be shared on Facebook and Instagram every other Tuesday!
