We're getting a visit from Miss Rheingold this #ThirstyThursday via the November 1962 cover of The Glass Packer (the magazine of glass packaging). This trade publication was issued through the National Preservers Association from 1928 to 1962.
While the Hagley Library's Published Collections department does include this title in its holdings, this particular scan comes from our Manuscripts and Archives Department's Raymond Loewy Archive (Accession 2251). The cover accompanied a short article touting Loewy's new design for Rheingold beer bottles, which the industrial designer had reworked to feature a wider mouth, a tear-off aluminum closure to eliminate the need for an opener, and a new color scheme.
