The following five images, taken between August 1911 and February 1912, offer a time-lapsed perspective of the fitting-out process. During that time, workers completed the interior and exterior of the Lydonia II. Note the completion of the cabin and wheelhouse and the addition of equipment including smoke stacks, masts, rigging, anchors, and davits. Tugs frequently shuffled the Lydonia II up and down the wharf to the painting, plumbing, rigging, and boiler workshops - efficiently moving the work to the workers. As a group, these images offer an excellent survey of the buildings, derricks, water tower, and constant activity that defined the Pusey and Jones waterfront.
